Following text is for those who never met this type of models. Small scale airplanes are driven by czech made rocket motors by Dr. Zikmund. If you have the idea by observing the rocket models driven by similar principle, you are a bit off. These motors burn for relatively long (cca 20 sec), so the flight of the model is cultivated and can be easily observed without any tools :-).

Miniscale models driven by Rapiers start from the wingspan of about 200mm (L1 motors) and are similar to peanuts. In most of the models you will note little "tunnel", which is not scale and is in the lower part of the fuselage. It's necessary due to the technology used, only sometimes the perfect scale solution is available, as in Heinkel He-162.
In this category there are no competitions (at least editors are not aware of any), that might be the reason for the community of modellers being so compact. Model building is purely for the beauty of it.
